Since the death of my husband four years ago it has been necessary for me to earn a living for myself and two children.
During this time I have tried several different occupations, such as hotel work, saleslady in store, etc. – but none have afforded me the satisfaction of a good salary and pleasant work such as I now enjoy at Donnelly’s.
I have been in the employ of the Donnelly Garment Company about one and a half years. During this time I have received satisfactory wages and enjoyed a pleasant environment among conginal [congenial] workers. Mrs. Reed has done many lovely person things for us and we all deeply appreciate them.
I am happy in my work and only ask that our affairs may continue the same in the future as they have in the past.
