Mrs. James Reed

I have worked for the Donnelly Garment Co. three and one half years and can say I have never worked any place that had half as good working conditions as we have in the Donnelly plant. I have had the benfit [benefit] of the insurance and hospitalization that you provide for your employees. I took sick last September and had to have an operation. I went to the Research Hospital had a private room and the very best of care while there and if it wasn’t for the Donnelly Garment and Mrs. Reed I would of had to gone to a charity hospital this is just one of the many things you have done for me, I have three daughters in high school and by working for the Donnely [Donnelly] Garment Co I can send them to school and give them the things they need.

I am perfectly satisfied with my work and am not in favor of any out side union.

The Donnelly Garment Co is an all American factory and we want to keep it that way.

I’m writing [writing] this letter of my own free will.
