Flute doubling alto flute
Blue-Green Hill is a three-part suite in which several original melodies (suggested by the twists and turns of Scottish fiddle tunes) are transformed through continuous variation into increasingly complex textures.
Commissioned by Boston Musica Viva (Richard Pittman, Music Director), with support from the Ernst von Siemens Foundation for Music and members of the Boston Musica Viva Commission Circle:
