'When the brilliant pianist Anthony de Mare asked me to participate in his Liasons Project, I was scared. I was asked to take something sacred (a song by Stephen Sondeim) and arrange it for piano. I tried for several weeks to make "Another Hundred People" work, and nothing worked. Finally, after a late-night conversation with Anthony, he encouraged me to simply "duet" with the music, and have a conversation with Mr. Sondheim's score. That's what I did.'
