"going... gone" is a mosaic of exuberant rapid passages of gradual intensity, harmonic plateaus, rhythmical motions and subtle chord imitations derived from Sondheim's "Good Thing Going." The periodic interruptions by echoes of unexpected interactions of 19th century classic Cuban dances act as a bridge between different sections of the work.
