"This piano piece combines a ground by Purcell with certain aspects of the harmonics of Scriabin, in particular his so-called 'Prometheus chord'-- and is thus a kind of musical time warp. In the week this piece was composed a friend of mine died-- a friend who had loved and supported music in all its forms. For this reason the piece is dedicated to Carina Jurck von der Sandt."
