"In the piano piece 'Tango 25,' I would like to demonstrate in miniature a selection of the various composition techniques of the last 25 years. At the beginning, there are polyphone patterns in the form of fugatos with themes from the twelve-tonal series technique, emphasized by resonances specific to the piano. Three seventh chords (four-three chords) at different pitches set accents and holds. The inversion of the series is characteristic of the 2nd part of the piece, which moves in the upper octaves like a glockenspiel until it leads into the actual tango theme. This rhythmic ostinato theme is made up of the sounds from the inversion of the series. At the end, the modified fugato and glockenspiel sections appear again in inverted form, supplemented by the tango rhythm."
