Bio
Born in 1967 in Krakow, Poland, she studied flute at the Music Academy, from which she graduated with distinction. While there, she also studied composition (with piano as her main instrument and harpsichord as an additional instrument), electronic music, and computer music. From 1993 to 1994, she studied composition (with Prof. Johannes Fritsch) and computer music (with Klarenz Barlow) at the Cologne University of Music and from 1994 to 1995, she studied sonology in The Hague (Netherlands). From 1987 to 1990, she taught flute, recorder and piano at music schools in Krakow; from 1996 to 1999, she taught as a lecturer at the Krakow Music Academy. She has participated in courses for transverse flute, composition and electronic music (composition courses in Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Spain). She has performed in concerts as a soloist and in chamber ensembles, including a collaboration with the ensemble "Muzyka Centrum" Krakow and participation in the 36th International Festival of Contemporary Music "Warsaw Autumn" (1993). Since 2013, she has also been a flutist in the "Westwind Quintet," and she has been in collaboration with the Leverkusen Flute Circle as a recorder player. Since 1999, she has been a teacher for transverse flute, recorder and piano at the Burscheid Music School, and since 2005, she has been a member and solo flutist at the Musical Academy of 1812 in Burscheid.
